Professional title
Podologin / Podologe (podiatrist) – a protected professional title under the German Podiatrists Act (Podologengesetz), awarded in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Heilpraktiker (licence restricted to the field of podiatry) – awarded in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Podiatrists are not members of a professional chamber.

Professional regulations
Value added tax
Under § 4 No. 14 of the German VAT Act (UStG), services provided by podiatrists are generally exempt from VAT.
A VAT identification number is therefore not required unless VAT liability exists.
Consumer dispute resolution
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
